Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Calkut collects, why we collect it, and the control you have over it. Calkut is a calorie and weight tracking app. We do not sell your data, and we do not share your health information with advertisers.

1. Information we collect

Account information

Your email address and an encrypted password hash, used to create your account and let you sign in on another device.

Health and fitness data you enter

Height, weight, age, sex, activity level, goal, weekly pace, logged food entries and weigh-ins. This data is used to calculate your calorie target and show your progress. Nothing else.

Device and diagnostic data

App version, device model, operating system version and crash reports, used to fix bugs. Camera access is used only for barcode scanning and images are never stored or uploaded.

2. How we use your information

To calculate your maintenance calories, daily target and macro split

To show your logs, trend line, streaks and weekly summaries

To sync your account across your devices

To send reminders and account emails, if you have opted in

To diagnose crashes and improve the app

We never sell your data, use health data for advertising, or share it with data brokers

3. Service providers

We use a small number of processors to run the service: cloud hosting and database storage, crash reporting, transactional email, and the app stores for payment processing. They may process your data only on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. Payments are handled entirely by Apple and Google — we never see your card details.

4. Storage, security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and encrypted at rest on our servers. Access is limited to staff who need it to operate or support the service. We keep your data while your account is active; if you delete your account, your personal and health data is removed from production systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.

5. Your rights and controls

You can view and correct your profile at any time in the app, export your full history as a CSV file, or permanently erase your account and all associated data from the You tab. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, rectify, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email support@calkut.com.

6. Children

Calkut is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
