Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Calkut for use of the Calkut mobile apps and website. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use Calkut.
1. The service
Calkut is a general wellness tool for tracking food intake, calorie targets and body weight. Targets are estimates produced from the information you enter using standard energy-balance formulas. Individual results vary, and estimates are not guarantees.
2. Not medical advice
Calkut is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting a diet, changing your calorie intake, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, managing a chronic condition, or have a history of disordered eating. Never disregard professional advice because of something you read in the app.
3. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Calkut. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information you enter — inaccurate stats produce inaccurate targets. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Core tracking is free. Optional paid features are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Your subscription renews at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends, and it is managed entirely in your store account settings. Refunds are handled under the policy of the store you purchased through. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

The logs, weights and notes you enter remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process and display that content back to you in order to operate the service. We handle it as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Calkut name, logo, app design, software and compiled food data are owned by Calkut and protected by intellectual property law. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Calkut available and accurate but provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of uninterrupted service or error-free food data. We may add, change or withdraw features, and will give reasonable notice before removing something you rely on.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Calkut is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for health outcomes arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Termination
You may stop using Calkut and delete your account at any time from the You tab. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or creates risk for other users, with notice where practicable.
